How does an in-home session work?
I bring the equipment to you. We begin by reviewing your intake form, symptoms and goals, then discuss the session and your comfort level. Please provide a quiet space and wear clothing that allows access to the treatment area.
How long is a session?
The initial consultation and first treatment is approximately 15–30 minutes. Follow-up appointments are approximately 10–20 minutes.
Which areas do you serve?
Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon and Lake Country. If you live just outside these areas, please get in touch to ask about availability.
Do you accept insurance?
Services are paid out of pocket. Kelowna Shockwave does not currently provide receipts eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Please give at least 12 hours’ notice for changes. Contact us about late cancellations, missed visits and any refund request.
What does the treatment feel like?
Some people experience discomfort, particularly in sensitive areas. Intensity is adjusted in response to your feedback. Discuss any concerns before your session.
How many sessions will I need?
The existing service guidance suggests a course of 3–5 sessions, but the number and response vary. Your needs and progress should guide the plan; no specific result is guaranteed.
What type of shockwave do you use?
Kelowna Shockwave uses a radial device. Your session is tailored to your needs and comfort level.
Is treatment suitable for everyone?
Suitability depends on your condition and health history. Complete the intake questionnaire before your visit and discuss medical concerns with your healthcare provider. A technician’s service does not replace medical diagnosis or care.
How does payment work?
Pay in full when booking. Cancel 12+ hours ahead for a full refund; late cancellations may include a 25% fee. Missed appointments are normally non-refundable.
How should I prepare?
Complete your intake questionnaire and wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the treatment area. Provide a quiet space and tell us about relevant medical advice before the session.
Why is gel used?
Gel helps the applicator maintain contact with the skin during a session. Let us know about any skin sensitivity or allergies before treatment.
What is the difference between radial and focused shockwave?
These devices deliver energy differently and are not interchangeable. Kelowna Shockwave uses a radial device. Discuss your diagnosis and the type of treatment recommended to you before booking.
What happens after a session?
We discuss your response and any follow-up instructions. Temporary soreness can occur. Ask your treating healthcare professional about activity and medication decisions; contact them if symptoms concern you.
Can we discuss suitability before booking?
Yes. Use the contact form for general questions. Medical history and suitability are reviewed privately through the intake process and conversation before treatment.
