ANKLE & HEEL
Achilles tendonitis
Pain or stiffness around the tendon at the back of the ankle.
Understanding Achilles tendon pain
The Achilles tendon connects the calf muscles to the heel. Tendon-related pain may involve morning stiffness or discomfort when walking, running or loading the calf.
What you might notice
- Stiffness at the back of the ankle
- Pain with walking or running
- Tenderness around the tendon
A conversation about your needs.
We will discuss whether the pain is at the heel attachment or higher in the tendon, how training has changed, and any rehabilitation advice you have received.
What your visit looks like
Wear clothing that gives access to the lower calf and heel. We work within your comfort level and discuss how your tendon responds to activity between visits.
We bring the equipment to you. A first visit reserves 30 minutes for consultation and treatment; follow-ups reserve 20 minutes.
Your next steps
Tell us whether your priority is everyday walking, stairs or a gradual return to sport. Sudden pain or a suspected tear needs medical assessment first.
Suitability and results vary. This technician-provided service does not replace medical diagnosis or a rehabilitation plan.
